It's probably early to really know what have we learnt, but in this few days I'm sure that we have got new knowledge. At least, we have discovered the real aim of our degree, and interesting things we could only imagine before. I think my expectations have been far exceeded.
For example we now know what the curriculum exactly is; the minimum content in theory but also in personal values, the basic things children have to know and learn. We have also learnt that bilingual Communities have 55% of hours in the curriculum (65% in the rest of Communities).
More things we have just know are that in Primary School, a kid can repeat one year because his level wasn't enough; or the Institutions in charged of decide the curriculum and the different changes (Educative Administrations). Schools have the autonomy to enlarge the contents.
Other important thing, and I think one of the most important, is the aim of this stage. Children are being teached in order to work in society, in the future, and in order to participate in democracy, so mentors have to do things in group and foment the respect.
One day we saw different thoughts of different philosophers, and that was such a enriching activity because we can see different points of view.
At the moment we are doing interesting stuff, and I'm glad of my learning process. I hope we keep on with this kind of lessons.
